I used a visa gift card at a jcpenney store. I thought the card was for $100 and I had purchased goods @ $131.00 I told the check out girl that I would pay the $31 with cash because I must have used up the total of the card. She took the cash and rang it up on the same ticket. Then she asked me if I would like her to throw the card out.I responded I guess you might as well as long as it is used up.When I got home and actually looked at the sales slip, there was still $100 left on the card. I think the check out girl knew that and thought, rightly I must add, here is a dumb old lady and she won't know the difference. My question is: if I give you the number of the card as it appears on the sales slip, will you be able to see if that card was used again wiping out the $100. The number is:xxxxxxxxxxxx7061/xxxx/2137**** M My email is: jeanredman6@***.com Thank you.

Reason of review: it was a question for help on a lost card.

Monetary Loss: $100.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: Zionsville, Indiana

The only way to check your remaining balance is to have the card #, cvv, and exp date.

Sorry..... :-(

Hi there.

If it was a onevanilla giftcard, i don't believe it would of revealed the remaining balance on ur reciept.

Are u sure the reciept was not referring to the transaction amount for your purchase?
