I purchased a gift card well in advance of giving. The receiver, my daughter, tried to use her gift and told it was not activated.

As it was purchased long before giving, the receipt was gone. I called OneVanilla, customer service and they essentially said, 'so what - it was not their problem.' It is certain this is not the first problem with non-activation at point of sale, but the company will not stand behind its product. Therefore, as I am a continual giftcard giver, I will look for the OneVanila logo and steer clear.

The dollars now are on that card, but OneVanilla isn't out - they got their money, and my daughter is out. Of course, I'll now need to spend on another gift card to make up for the onevanilla she can't use - rest assured I will never use this company's product ever.

Monetary Loss: $95.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

OneVanilla Cons: Being robbed and having no help, Not standing by a non-activated card.
